Lodging Suggestion?
« on: August 13, 2020, 09:56:54 AM »

Anybody got some suggestions on nice places to stay in or nearby any of the natural areas in KY? Iíll personally camp/ sleep anywhere. My wife... not so much. If anyone knows of nice hotels or cabins near the Gorge, Big South Fork, Cave Run Lake, etc that would be great thanks!

Arabian night cabin near BSF small 1 BR but has a nice screened in deck overlooking a small pond.
Wildcat/Mammoth cabins on twin arches road near RRG is 2 BR (1 upstairs) 2 bath or Hideaway in Cliffview resort. Most have hot tubs, grills, decks.
The cliff lines whisper "I have secrets to share".  But sometimes they lie!! :D

We have tried cabins at a couple state parks
Cumberland Falls has a couple cabins with wood burning fireplaces, nice in the fall/winter and good hiking in the area
Pickett (in TN near BSF) lots of hiking, no wood burning fireplace
Pine Mountain has some nice cabins, there is a little hiking in the state park and Cumberland Gap is about 30 minutes down the road.

Never stayed, but something to consider
Natural Bridge has a lodge
Cave Run Lake has rustic cabins, but I have no idea what they look like inside, pretty sure there is no plumbing.
