On the edge of the Gorge
« on: May 29, 2020, 11:52:52 AM »

I was able to take advantage of good weather in April with a short bike trip on the edge of the Gorge with my 7 year old. We did not peddle far, but we had a good time.

Here are a couple photos

Starting out

Nice view

Go #TeamKY

Nice sunset

Love your #Team KY

Hiking this weekend.  YAY!!

The #Team KY was all her :)

My bike and I went back to the same area this past weekend (5/31 - 6/1) but I was by myself and started at the bottom. The off-road people were out in force since it was Sunday and a beautiful day. The noise detracted a little bit, but I still had fun.

then up to the ridge and back to the same campsite for sunset

and stars (not a lot in this photo because of the moon)

and then 2ish miles down to Indian Creek Rd and around to my car. A great way to spend 24ish hours.

couple more photos here https://backpackandbeer.blogspot.com/2020/06/edge-of-gorge-part-2.html

Sunday and Monday the Gorge looked packed, Martins Fork Trailhead was full both times I drove by and most of the pullouts had cars in them. Not sure when I will be ready to deal with crowds in the Gorge itself.

The camera is a Sony A7ii, I have a couple different lens that I rotate through. Glad you liked the photos.
