Butterfly I.D. for Beginners
Program Leader: Beverly James
Wednesday, June 27th, 6:30 p.m.
This indoor program will provide an introduction to butterflies of the region for those interested in participating in the Central Bluegrass Butterfly Count held at Floracliff and other sites on June 30th.

Nature at Night: Moths and More
Friday, June 22nd. 9:00 - 11:30 p.m.
For this program, we will have a couple of light stations set up with sheets to get a close-up look at our moths and other nocturnal insects. Bring a flashlight!


Forest Watersheds Creek Walk
Hike Leaders: Claudia Cotton & Jon Walker
Friday, June 30th, 12:00 - 4:00 p.m.
Join Jon Walker and Claudia Cotton for this trek up Elk Lick Creek. Along the way, they will highlight forest health and watersheds, and explain how itís all connected. Recommended for ages 12 and up.

Hike Leaders: Floracliff Naturalists
Wednesday, August 1st, 12:00 - 3:00 p.m.
Join Floracliff staff on this trek along a section of Elk Lick Creek to experience the heart of Floracliff and look for macroinvertebrates, amphibians, reptiles, and more.

Thanks to Kentucky American Water for awarding us a grant to protect some of our ash trees from the Emerald Ash Borer. With the help of our partners at the Kentucky Division of Forestry, we were able to treat and protect over 90 trees along our trail system! Thanks also to LFUCG Environmental Services, SiteOne Landscape Supply, and Arborjet for equipment loans and training to help make this possible.
