Just my two cents.  As far as themes, other than backpacking, there's a lot of ideas, like kayakking, hunting/WMAs, nature projects/events, etc...

At least you didn't say "climbing"  ;D

Nothing wrong with climbing. We used to have a dedicated (and very active) section of the site just for climbing. But it... didn't take.

A dedicated Mountain Biking forum section!

Maybe we could actually get the MTB community in here instead of on the IMBA forums (which no one in the area uses anyway).

I rarely hike anymore... only been once this year and have one big trip planning but I'd mod the MTB forum and try to drag people to it.
