Spring flowers
« on: April 03, 2017, 10:09:48 PM »

I was out at Raven Run in Lexington last week, had a great hike and enjoyed the waterfalls and the beginnings of the wildflowers. I was a little surprised that there weren't more flowers with our mild winter, but what was there was nice. Spring in KY is probably my favorite time of the year.

I saw lots of Trout Lillies, but did not get a photo worth keeping.
Also, I'm still trying to learn flowers, so if I made a mistake, please let me know.

I don't know what this is

I think this is Bloodroot

Blue Phlox

A Trilium

Rue Anemone

False Rue Anemone

And a couple waterfalls

there are more waterfall pics here https://backpackandbeer.blogspot.com/2017/04/raven-run.html

Glad you like the photos. I have been trying to force myself to pay attention to the small things when I hike, hence all the flower photos.
