you know it really reminds me of the cumberland near Barbourville, but those hills are such a common 800-900ft looking height I almost want to say green river... but where is there a rock overlook?

So is that the Ohio River viewed from the Kentucky side at Otter Creek looking back northeast?

Easy one for everybody. Where might one find thyself with such a view? Be specific!

Curious as to how quickly this one will go . . . there's only a handful of shelters in Kentucky, just a matter of how recognizable this particular one is:

Is this the Twin Branch Shelter along Lake Cumberland? Just guessing based on the fact that it doesn't look like the shelters I have visited.

Correct! Process of elimination definitely worked. As far as I know, the only shelters in the DBNF are: Twin Branch, Star Creek, Bark Camp Creek, and Cotton Patch. I've been to all except Cotton Patch. I think I might be forgetting one though . . .

I don't know of any other shelters in KY.  The Cotton Patch Shelter has a decent view of the Cumberland River below it, a compost toilet with no walls, and an old chimney nearby.

Someone from Lexington should be able to identify which trail this waterfall is off of.
