RRG Spring Break
« on: April 08, 2013, 09:07:23 AM »

Had a nice couple of days hiking in the RRG during the last part of Spring Break.  The first day we did a short out and back to Whittleton Arch while we waited for another family to arrive.  That afternoon we went to Gray's Arch, followed Rough Trail around to Hanson's Point, then took the Sheltowee and Pinch-em Tight back to the car.

The second day we did the Indian Staircase/Cloudsplitter doubleheader.

Beautiful weekend for hiking.

Looks like you all had a great time. Glad the weather cooperated for your trip and that you were able to see several of the highlights.

Thanks for posting the pictures.

We stayed in a cabin on the hill across from the Nada tunnel road entrance.  There were 4 families of us, so we had 3 cabins up there.  We also stayed up there last fall and the previous spring break.  We've always enjoyed.

A couple more pics.  Had I done Indian Staircase before, I probably wouldn't have recommended it for this crowd.....or the narrow trail around the canyon.  Yikes!
