Cloudsplitter?
« on: October 16, 2002, 11:42:17 PM »

I've made it to the base...via Sheltowee from the parking lot.  Thinking of trying to come in the other way from the Bison Way trailhead.  Any thoughts?

Speaking of Cloudsplitter, check this out

It's towards the bottom of the page.  Quite hilarious.

Wow!  Do you think all that crap is true?

BTW what is wrong with Cloudsplitter in that pic, is the feral human in it somewhere or something!

Ditto.  I don't see it either.  I think I might not be as dirty minded as I thought I was.  ;)

Well, considering the number of people that visit the Gorge every year, and the particular volume that travel to Cloudsplitter, somehow I doubt it.   ;)

The idea of a hippie gone insane is simply preposterous.  At the worst it could only be a bad acid trip.   ;D :P

Shew, I'm glad you didn't elaborate on "the cloudsplitter incedent" Arthur.  The folks here might have lost all respect for us (not that they currently have much). ;-)

I think the feral human story relates back to an old friend of the kywilderness forums... The Mayor - Read all about it here:

HA!  That looks more like Jewel Pinacle than Cloudsplitter.

Back in '99 some guys here did a story on 'bigfoot'.  They caught up with the guy who supposedly saw a feral human of somesort in the Gorge.  Great story for sure.

My guess is that somehow Big Foot snuck into the pix.  you can never get a good shot of him......or her?

This might sound really silly but have any of you heard of the Rainbow People? A hippie group that used to come to the Gorge ever year.

Yeah.  That reminds me of a saying my grandma used to say......."My oh my the things I see when I don't have a shotgun."
