No Pass Required for National Public Lands Day
The USDA Forest Service is waiving the recreation fee demonstration pass for National Public Lands Day the weekend of September 28-29, 2002. No fee will be charged for overnight parking in the Red River Gorge on September 27-28, 2002.

During the weekend in recognition of America’s Treasured Gems-our Public Lands, visitors will not need a pass at these areas on the Daniel Boone National Forest: Boat ramps at Cave Run and Laurel River Lakes, parking in the Red River Gorge from 10 p.m.-6 a.m., White Sulphur ATV trail on the Morehead Ranger District, parking at Natural Arch Scenic Area, Bee Rock Recreation Area, Keno and Appletree Shooting Ranges and Barren Fork Horse Camp.

Visitors will still be required to pay at these concession-operated facilities: such as Twin Knobs, Clear Creek, Claylick, Koomer Ridge, Holly Bay, White Oak and Grove Campgrounds, Clear Creek Shooting Range, Craig’s Creek Group Area and White Sulphur Horse Camp on Morehead and London Ranger Districts.
