Kingdom Come State Park

Too hot at the for hiking at RRG and CRL so we drove down to Kingdom Come State Park

Beautiful pics and a beautiful day!
The Pine/Black Mountain forests look like they've had more rain than up here near the Gorge.
I always enjoy the views, from a geological perspective. The Cumberland Plateau extending to the northwest and the more rugged mountains to the southeast across the Cumberland River Valley.
Thanks for giving us a beautiful glimpse of this section of Kentucky at this time of year.

On the way home we stopped at Pine Mountain State Park. A short hike to Honeymoon Falls but no photos because they were only a trickle.  But here's a nice pic of Powderhorn Arch.
