Charles C Deam Wilderness - Smithsonian Mag
« on: April 24, 2018, 12:06:47 PM »

https://www.smithsonianmag.com/travel/charles-c-deam-wilderness-area-180952535/

I've spent a lot of time in this area, but I have never seen this natural bridge pictured in the article - Has anyone else came across it?

No need to post directions here if you don't want (wouldnt mind a PM though, if I could)

Yeah - the only one they have listed in Indiana is at McCormick's Creek SP - looks like it might be the same?....

I have doubts they are the same.  Although it photos were taken in different seasons, the trees and rock piles are different.

more to the point, one is sandstone, and the other is limestone.

Uncanny similarities otherwise.

I really have no idea, though I'm not an Indiana hiker.

Ah - eye c!   ;)

Yeah, definitely not the same.  I was fooled by the deadfall on the photo in the McCormick's Creek link, but those pics make it obvious....  Hmm... Well,
Now I'm really curious - looks like this weekend will be nice weather! :)
