Went on a site survey; got destroyed by chiggers n ticks more than I ever have on any single hike. Land owners were clear cutters. Awful.

OK so has anyone been up there???  I kinda was thinking that was the spot and it has been on my radar to summit but if anyone has any intel, let me know haha.

If you're referring to the ridgeline in the picture (rather than the overlook where I took the photo), no idea. But I'd like to know too!

I believe there are cabins at the base of the cliff, I wonder if it's possible to access from below there.

EDIT: Also, here's a pano from the overlook for any who haven't made it out that way and need some encouragement.

There are buildings down there and I'm not sure of its private/public status since it's not part of the Red proper forest land mgmt. Can always drive up the road and ask around. Not sure if it's even feasible to scramble up those walls. I'll wait for someone else to do it!

Where might this interesting rock be found?

To help get it going I'm taking a guess. It looks like you're behind a waterfall or a drip-line. Right in the middle of the photo I think is the waterfall, and based on the amount of sun shining on your location I'd have to guess a southerly facing photo - are you below eagle point falls? I don't think you are, but then again the only time I've been there was a volcano of ice at the base. :)

You got it! Without the reference of the waterfall and not actually knowing those holes are in the rock face, I didn't know if anyone would guess the location. Excellent detective work!

Luna-pup is pretty adventurous. Cat's Paw is not the hardest thing to find, but it's probably easier to get to with four-foot-traction.

Yeah, Luna-pup has been everywhere.  Up to cloud splitter was one of the hardest climbs for those short stubby legs & barrel-like body.  LOL!!

I figured you'd guess correctly.   ;)

10 days, 38 views, no guesses. Hint time!

This is off a trail in Hinterlands. And there's an arch there, not that you can tell from this angle.

This thread is over four years old. Has this site been posted before? Or are we just losing interest?
