Went on a site survey; got destroyed by chiggers n ticks more than I ever have on any single hike. Land owners were clear cutters. Awful.

The red was looking great yesterday. Wish I had time to go to Muir today.

Hang Em High Horse Camp, or White Oak Boat in; north a bit from there near Horse Lick Creek is the S-tree primitive camps, it's actually quite nice.
If you want large, then of course you're back to state park and lake campgrounds.

I'm thinking on the Sheltowee between Cloudsplitter and the suspension bridge.

Yup! Sheltowee Trace. Honestly, it's been so long ago, I can't recall if this was between Klaber and Hale Branches or closer to Cloudsplitter. Regardless, you are on point. The trail actually does drop down a bit into this rock shelter. Further north near Corner Ridge Rd, there's a large, flat clearing on the ST that has a massive bolder right in the middle. Makes a great campsite if you ever find yourself in that area. Give us your best!

Hmmmm....I usually don't guess at these because I don't have many good photos, especially if you don't count the ones that have people in them.  Those I have are scattered amongst different devices.  I really need to organize them better.  The one thing I hate about the digital generation is I don't seem to be able to keep photos as well as I did with the old film cameras.

So here you go, from Mr. Obvious

Long-time listener, first-time caller. However, still a beautiful photo of the gorge!

Wow, holy cow. I have to say that I may have hit some luck on that one, but I'll take it.

Where is this?
