Hang Em High Horse Camp, or White Oak Boat in; north a bit from there near Horse Lick Creek is the S-tree primitive camps, it's actually quite nice.
If you want large, then of course you're back to state park and lake campgrounds.

I'm looking for info regarding backcountry camping in the DBNF London District, preferably near Buck Creek.  Bee Rock and Rockcastle Campgrounds are both closed and we'd prefer to camp more primitively. Little Lick is small and best suited for horses.
Suggestions?

Just returned from the Red. Enjoyed beautiful sunrises and the super moon, it was an awesome time!

Just for one final piece of closure for my last post - it was indeed near the Double Arch Spur/Connector, referred to by some as the Rocky Branch Overlook. Great views, if you haven't found it, go find it. Worth it.

BTW, thedayhascome, that's a fantastic picture. I know where you are, but I won't guess on this one.

I had to look back through my Jailhouse photos to confirm.  Nice play.  I can pass if someone else wants a turn unless someone can point me to a simple 3rd party hosting photo site.  I haven't  moved on since Photobucket turned into pirates.

I have been using google photos, which works ok. Sharing on here has been iffy, most likely user error. I know others use Flickr with great success.

OK, I'll give it a shot here with......something other than Google.  Epic fail with Google.

Where am I at or what arch am I under?

I know where you are but will wait until Saturday evening to officially guess if it's still available. Got to get down to the gorge this weekend for some fresh photos. I'm out of pictures you guys haven't guessed before.  :P

Haha I know exactly what you mean!!  Hint:  There's a dead giveaway in the picture, you just have to look for it.

Same here, dead giveaway, but will refrain. We need some fresh blood on this forum taking guesses. **falcon screech**

I can take a hint: Duncan-Wolfpen Arch.  It's been several years but I have been on top, but not below.  I didn't see an easy climb down.

Bingo.......yer up!  I dropped a rope to aid in getting back up but it wasn't really too difficult and I'm not one to push my luck anymore.  Lots of neat stuff to look at down there.
